New Turkish ambassadors introduced in 13 countries

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed a decree introducing new Ankara ambassadors in 13 different countries. According to the decree published in the country’s official newspaper, Turkish ambassadors changed in Azerbaijan, Poland, Myanmar, Sierra Leone, Kyrgyzstan, Spain, Burkina Faso, India, Congo, the United Arab Emirates, Italy, Iraq and Thailand.

Turkey’s ambassador to Baku, Arkan Ozural, was summoned to the Turkish Foreign Ministry and Jajahed Baghji was appointed in his place.

Toghay Tong, deputy director general of the U.S. Department of State of Turkey, has been appointed as Turkey’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.

Alireza Goni, deputy director general of relations with Iraq at the Turkish Foreign Ministry, has been nominated to replace Fatih Yildiz in Iraq.

Omar Gojok, the country’s director general of economic affairs, will go to Italy as ambassador.

Sarp Ersoy, deputy director general of the Foreign Ministry protocol, was also appointed as Turkey’s ambassador to Thailand.
